Ahhh! We made it to France! This morning we loaded the bus and took a four hour drive from Brugge, Belgium, to Versailles where we toured the Palace of Versailles. Absolutely incredible- the palace was huge! The rooms, painted walls and ceilings, marble pillars, and everything else was so cool. All I could think about was how long it must have taken to build such a big place. The kings bedroom and chamber alone was the size of a normal entire main floor in a house back home. The back of the palace was beautiful gardens and pools/ponds that were gorgeous! After touring that for an hour we drove to Paris and rode through the streets in our bus for about an hour just sightseeing. Next was dinner at Cafe Du Commerce and then we all took the subway to the Sacre Coeur- an old church in Paris. From there we had a gorgeous view of the city, but I didn't get any good pictures because my camera is crappy. Shucks! A smaller group of us then took the subway back to see the Eiffel Tower up close... one of the coolest things ever! At night the tower is lit up, but at every hour lights sparkle for ten minutes- we got to see that a couple times! We then walked back to our hotel and called it a night. I can scratch one thing off my bucket list- see the Eiffel Tower!
