Auvoure, Paris!

January 14

Today we started with breakfast at hotel- another day of different breads with nutella. Classy! The whole group then got on the subway and went to see the Notre Dame. It was very pretty inside- amazing stain glass windows! Then we walked to the Louvre where we got lunch... a happy meal from McDonald's (I really need to start enjoying Europe a little more)! After lunch we had an unlimited time to walk through the Louvre. My group spent about three and a half hours walking through the museum. I didn't get through the whole place but I was able to see a few famous art pieces, including the Mona Lisa! When we got done with the Louvre it was 4:30p and so we walked around town looking through shops and then grabbed some dinner. We then took the subway back to the hotel where we dropped some of our shopping off and got hats and mittens, then we walked to the Eiffel Tower (only about a 10 minutes walk from our hotel!) so that we could see it sparkle one more time before we leave France. It's crazy to think I may never see it again- sad! Otherwise we spent the night with a few people just sitting around enjoying the company.

Good-bye, Paris! Forever? No!

Unique tidbit for the day: my professor said that he has never had such great weather in the 18 years that he has taken this interim trip. It's been about 40 degrees here every day and sunny, and no snow or rain! It's been great, but the wind is pretty rough so it is still cold.

Hope you all had a great weekend. I will be home in two weeks!

Pce. & Blessings.

  1. Please eat more than just a hamburger or chick nugs from McDs... I don't recommend tripes, tho!! :) Wine is ALWAYS the right choice. Also, if you could bring me back a bottle of Beaujolais I would so appreciate it :)

  2. Sigh, it sounds like you're having fun! I agree...you should try more foods...maybe write your thoughts about each (you could be really sarcastic and we could all have a good laugh, ya know?). Keep blogging!
